MEETING THE MEDIEVAL...

Girona is a small charming city located 100 km north of Barcelona and 100 km south of Perpignan (France). It is one of the wealthiest cities in Spain. By the end of 2012 Girona will be a stop on the high-speed train that is to link Barcelona and Paris. Girona has one of the most important medieval quarters in Spain, plenty of interesting historical buildings, one of the best-preserved old Jewish quarters in Europe and a magnificent cathedral featuring the widest Gothic nave in the world with a breadth of 22 meters.

This house is located in the heart of Girona's medieval quarter, inside the original city walls, overlooking Sant Domènec Square. The house is the property of Alemanys 5 and its original form dates back to the sixteenth century. It has been restored and redesigned by Spanish architect ANNA NOGUERA.

Its recent restoration integrates old and new, with sober, clean lines that celebrate essential elements such as space, light, shade, fire, stone, water and silence.

The house is available for renting as a whole unit, but it can also be divided into two independent apartments:

"El Badiu" (The Veranda) is a 180 m² duplex comprised of a master suite and two children's suites, a fully equipped gourmet kitchen-dining space, spacious living room with fireplace and a spectacular sunny veranda terrace facing south, with exclusive view over the old quarter. It has the capacity of up to 6 people.

"El Jardí” (The Garden) is a 90 m² flat that offers two double bedrooms, a spacious bathroom, a large dining-living room with fully equipped kitchenette and a private sunny garden with swimming pool. Its capacity is up to 4 people.
