You might have seen those beautiful shiny dresses on the red carpet or on the runway fashion shows, and you heard of a high fashion brand named Reem Acra. Ever wondered who's behind it? Here's the short story:

Reem Acra is a fashion designer from Lebanon who started her company as a bridal line in 1997 and came to fame in 1999 when she had her fist fashion show. She has held shows during New York Fashion Week ever since. In 2003 her brand expanded to include evening dresses as well, and in 2008 Reem Acra had her first ready-to-wear collection.  Today, her designs are a common thing to see on red carpet all over the world. Acra is an established designer for royalty and celebrities. Angelina Jolie for example is one of her favourite celebrities to dress.

In 2014, Acra designed and produced the uniforms for the American University of Beirut Medical Center, where both of her parents had worked. She also joined other designers in reimaginig of the wardrobes of the characters from The Wizard of Oz.

Reem Acra creates majestic outfits of every woman's dream, making her look both gentle and powerful, making her feel both like a princess and a warrior.
